I have taught courses using GEMS (General Energy and Material Balances, a process simulator similar to Aspen, developed by the U of I) and AllProps (a single component thermodynamic properties program developed by the U of I) to teach thermo courses

I have also developed Numerical Rx; an Excel VBA add-in that can be used to perform numerical calculations for linear algebra, numerical integration and solution of systems of ODE’s in Excel. I have used this code in teaching a graduate chemical engineering class in numerical methods.

I have written a program to calculate gas or liquid viscosities in Excel. This program is an Excel VBA add-in that can be downloaded free from our website.
